Unrelated to this post, but the November edition of my newsletter “Notes from MP” will be sent out this Wednesday morning! If you want to read it, be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already.
Growing up, I never really understood why my mom loved to have a bouquet of fresh flowers in our home at all times. It didn’t matter what type of bouquet it was, although she was partial to roses. Every week when she went to the grocery store, she’d pick up a bouquet. It became a Sunday afternoon ritual of sorts, finding her in the kitchen, cutting the stems at a diagonal and arranging each flower artfully in the vase of her choice. The bouquet always brightened our home, and over time, they became my mom’s signature in our home decor.
I didn’t realize how much I loved having fresh flowers at home until I struck out on my own.
